What these Pledgends are saying...
Eddie Edmonds
The overall experience of attaching an effort with a change in behaviour has engrained the new habits far more than I anticipated. There is something truly unique about the Pledge for the Planet process that instils a recognition that global change can be achieved on an individual level through our behaviour.
Glies Sacarello
I haven’t bought a plastic milk carton in two years so to start has saved roughly 50 milk cartons going to landfill. The event is such a fun way to bring the various communities to compete, doing what we love doing in order to spread the message and change behaviour for the better.
Victoria Maurer
I LOVE the Pledge for the Planet Mission! I honestly look forward to it every year. It’s a great month to get active and get outdoors. I think the competition for a good cause really brings people together which is always really positive for community building.
Alex Martin
I pledged to have at least one meat free day a week. We’ve also transitioned most lunches into meat free each day too, and that has just required a bit of forward planning! I loved taking part in the Pledge for the Planet Mission. The community spirit was brilliant, and with so many people, a predictable amount of healthy competition!

FAQs
Your questions, answered.
Who can take part?
Sports clubs and community groups
At PFTP, we’re all about motivating behaviour change to save our planet. Who better to help us on our mission than motivated, competitive sports clubs and close, connected community groups.
How much does it cost?
It’s FREE! Your Pledge is your ticket
At PFTP, your behaviour is your currency. There is no money involved, all we ask is that you make a Pledge to change your behaviour to reduce your impact on the planet.
What’s a pledge?
A sustainable behaviour swap
A sustainable behaviour swap to reduce your impact on the planet, we have plenty to choose from!
Why sport and climate action?
Because saving the planet is a team sport
Our individual actions have a huge collective impact.

You’ll see that with the individual activities you log over the weekend and the combined points and KMs your team collective accumulates by the end of the mission.

The same goes for your individual Pledges and their collective impact. And guess what, the planet REALLY needs our help. So get a sweat on and put some of that energy towards restoring our precious mother earth for generations to come.
